Sam Kerr sets a new record with a hat trick against Sky Blue FC.

Sam Kerr of the Chicago Red Stars’ set a new record this past weekend by being the first NWSL player to have three hat tricks. The record happened in the Red Stars’ 3-1 win against Sky Blue FC, her old team, where Kerr scored all three goals. But, this isn’t her first experience with making a new record. Last season, Kerr set the record for most goals in one game with 17 and won not only the NWSL Golden Boot but also MVP awards.

West Ham United Ladies sign Esmee De Graaf and Lucienne Reichardt.

West Ham United Ladies have been making waves in the off-season by upping the amount of new signings to six. Esmee De Graaf and Lucienne Reichardt will be joining the team in the upcoming season. De Graaf spent the last three years with PEC Zwolle while Reichardt spent the last two with Ajax. Both players will bring fresh perspectives to the team as they enter the WSL.

Simona Halep is out at Wimbledon.
The world’s number one player and top-seeded Romanian Simona Halep has officially been defeated by Taiwanese player Su-Wei Hsieh in an upset this past weekend. Just last month Halep won her first Grand Slam title at the French Open. With Halep out, Karolina Plisokva of the Czech Republic is the last of the women’s top 10 seeds to remain in the tournament. Lesser known players will be stepping up to court to take the top spot

Toni Ann Miano signs with the Boston Pride
The NWHL offseason has signed another player! Toni Ann Miano from the BC Eagles has officially signed with the Boston Pride for the 2018-19 season. Miano will be joining another Eagle on the team, Katie Burke. In her four season as an Eagle, Miano had a total of 101 points in 131 appearances. We can’t wait to see what she does on the Pride!
