Equal Sweat, Equal Pay
Proctor & Gamble have released a new commercial for Secret Deodorant that shows their support for women in sport. Part of their “All Strength, No Sweat” campaign advocates equal pay for women athletes and makes their message loud and clear: “Equal Work. Equal Sweat. Equal Pay.” The ad also features USWNT co-captain Alex Morgan, who filed a law suit against the U.S. Soccer Federation earlier this month, along side the rest of her team mates for equal pay. While P&G hasn’t referenced the suit directly, they have made it very clear that they support “those who boldly fight for progress for themselves and for all women, without sweating the obstacles in their path.”
Additionally, the company has pledged $100,000 to the organization Girls Leading Girls, a California-based organization that “trains young women in leadership and life skills through soccer.” For every stick of Secret Outlast deodorant sold between now and July 9th, Secret will donate an additional $1 in additional support to Girls Leading Girls.
